Wilber Earns PPMS Management Certification from International Trade Association

Saturday Dec 12, 2009

Wilber, headquartered in Bloomington, IL, has recently earned certification through the Professional Practices Management System (PPMS) of ACA International, The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA).

To become certified through the PPMS program, a company must complete a rigorous application and audit process. Certified agencies must meet program requirements including developing an individualized professional practices system of management for their agency, creating supporting documentation for jobs and tasks performed by employees of the company and submitting specific business records to an independent auditor to assure compliance with the program’s high standards for collection agency operations. Periodic audits are mandatory for an agency to maintain its PPMS-certified status.

Ken Wilber, Wilber president, stated, “This process was good for our company and, even more importantly, our clients. We are proud to have achieved this prestigious certification.”

Members of ACA recover millions of dollars annually for their clients. They provide valuable assistance to credit departments in controlling mounting debts. Agencies certified through the ACA Professional Practices Management System are dedicated to best practices in the industry, abide by the association’s stringent code of ethics and are highly qualified to provide credit grantors with the expert collection services needed in today’s competitive business world.
