What it Means to be 2011 Subro Diva of the Year

Some may think that being recognized as Subro Diva of the Year 2011 means that I exemplify the characteristics of a diva.  That in my daily work life I may be a diva to the extreme, i.e., a fashion-ista who has their hair and nails done, who is always overly dramatic, and IS JUST all around FABULOUS!!

I may carry some of those characteristics, but I do not feel that exemplifies what being  ‘Subro’ Diva of the Year means.  Being a Subro Diva means that I am someone, in this instance a female, who takes care of business; someone that comes into work everyday to get the job done.  I myself do not feel that I personally do anything exemplary; I come to work everyday, sit in my ‘bat cave’, make my calls, execute talk offs, set up payment plans, take payments,  and go home when my shift is completed. In these tough economic times when there are many well qualified individuals who are without a job, I am first of all grateful to have a job.  I feel blessed everyday to have an establishment that I can come to and not only be given the opportunity to provide for my family, but also to work along side a wonderful group of people who are positive, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand.  I can even go as far as to say I have made a few friends while working here.  But I feel overwhelmed that I am recognized for merely doing my job. I feel honored to have been given this award so I will wear the title Wilber Subro Diva of the Year 2011 with great pride!

What it Means to be 2011 Hunter of the Year

It is always nice to be recognized for your work and sometimes you are lucky enough to actually win an award for your work.  This happened to me this year as the Wilber Subro Hunter of the year.  The first thing I thought of was giving it to the rest of the office because I may collect the files but I don’t load them and I don’t go knocking on our client’s doors to find the work.  As well we have entire staff of recovery specialist that all deserve this award.  I am just thankful that I have worked with such a great company to be able to achieve my goals and continue on doing what I love to do………Hunt for recovery dollars. It means a lot to me to win the Hunter of the year as it shows hard work and dedication do pay off.  Being that it came from the same management group and ownership group that hired me 9 years ago it means that much more.  Everyone one them have seen what it takes to be consistently successful in this industry and for them to present this award to me means a lot. Thank you and remember Be the Hunter not the Hunted.
